Adtrackz is the only self-installed script that can track sales and actions on affiliate websites.
When you sign up for an affiliate program you are given a self-replicated website with your affiliate id. Normally you don't have any control over this website, ie, you can't edit or modify the pages.
The statistic programs that come with affiliate programs will only tell you how many total clicks and sales you have generated with your affiliate id. There is no way to tell which of your ads generated those sales
With adtrackz, it is now possible to track the source of your sales on self-replicating websites that you can't control.
Here's how to set it up:
Step 1: Email the affiliate program owner
The owner of the affiliate program only has to install one line of code on the thank you page. It's a special 1x1 invisible image that calls your copy of Adtrackz and credits you with the sale. The owner only has to do this once to allow all Adtrackz users to track sales
Copy and paste this email and send it to your affiliate program owner. Most would be very happy to do this for you.
Step 2: Create a campaign
The next step is to create a campaign and identify it as an affiliate link. Go to "Campaigns" then click "Add New Campaign". When asked for the purpose of the campaign, select "Affiliate Link" from the drop down list. Adtrackz will use it's specialized script to track affiliate sales for you.
Step 3: Check your stats
When your visitors order from the affiliate website, the sale will show up in your statistics report so long as the affiliate owner has installed that line of code on his thank you page.
You can also track actions in the exact same way, if the affiliate program owner chooses to add the code to the aciton confirmation page.
And that's all there is to it. As you can see, it's seamlessly integrated into Adtrackz, just like you were tracking sales on your own website.
